Excellent south facing two bedroom cottage in good decorative order with superb sea views of The Needles set on National Trust Land, an Area of Outstanding Beauty, also of Tennyson Downs - and just a short distance from the beach at Alum Bay and just over a mile away is the beach at Totland Bay.
Needles View arguably offers the best views on the island. Part of Headon Hall Estate, it was built c1850. It is a traditionally built building on National Trust land and designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Just a few minutes walk from Alum Bay and set on the side of Headon Warren, the area offers something for everyone. Enjoy time exploring the estate, or take an interesting walk over Headon Warren from where there are uninterrupted views from Swanage to the Solent and beyond. For the more adventurous, opposite Needles View is the start (or end!) of Tennyson Down - a ridge that runs from Freshwater Bay along to Alum Bay and Freshwater and a favourite for all walkers.
Needles Cottage has kept its traditional look but with the more recent addition of the Sun Lounge you can enjoy The Needles, the sunrises and sunsets, whatever the weather over a leisurely breakfast or sundowner drinks.
There are some excellent places nearby to wine and dine, and attractions throughout the island to keep the younger members of the party occupied.
